Spot and Forward Transactions

As a price maker in foreign exchange, we can provide a competitive pricing environment in most currencies for delivery on a spot and forward basis. Online we show real time dealing rates for up to fourteen currencies and their respective crosses. Prices for currencies not shown online can be obtained by calling our dealers.

Forward contracts are offered to match future maturities. Normally, the maximum term is for 6 months but contracts can be extended at maturity for a futher term at prevailing market rates. Similarly, forward contracts in total or in part can be pre-delivered prior to maturity.

All forward contracts are subject to a minimum amount and an initial margin to secure the obligation and possible variation margins if significant adverse market movements occur during the term of the contract.

Currency Options

Options are different from spots and forwards in that they provide optionality, and are not binding on the buyer, and therefore they do not have to be exercised unless the holder of the option chooses to do so. There are a myriad of option products but two of the more common variants regularly offered by Elldridge Lynch are vanilla and deliverable options. When purchasing options, a non-refundable premium is payable.

Payment Services and Account Management

Elldridge Lynch offers payment services to settle purchased deliverable currency to your nominated beneficiaries. Clients online have the ability to request payments to their beneficiaries if they have available balances in their accounts. Adding, modifying, or deleting beneficiaries is now in the control of the client. Real time account information and balances are available for viewing, including account and transaction history with copies of past transactions available in PDF format when required. In addition, you can choose to have your beneficiary automatically notified when payments are released.

Market Orders

We provide an online facility for our clients to place, modify, and cancel orders, to view the savings or cost consequences between current and order rates, and to view the overall order status. Orders offered include limit and stops, for both spot and forward requirements, and OCOs (One Cancels the Other).

Market Information

Market news is available, together with a selection of Elfer reports prepared by Elldridge Lynch. Historical charts are available, ranging from a period of 24 hours to 10 years.

24 Hour Access to Dealing Facilities

The Elldridge Lynch Dealing Room opens 7.30am Monday Morning and is open continuously until midnight Friday. During this time a dealer is always available to our clients if they wish to trade or to check market rates.

Other web based currency services, such as online invoicing and real time currency calculators, are available for clients whom have large regular flows of currency involving their home or base currency.
